by | Last updated Mar 4, 2024 | Best Snorkeling Caribbean, Bonaire

Bonaire boasts some of the best shore snorkeling in the Caribbean, which is my #1 thing to do in Bonaire! It’s not all about the divers. There are several incredible snorkeling sites north of Kralendijk including 1000 Steps, Karpata, and of course Andrea 2! Let’s walk through how to get there, where to snorkel at Andrea 2, and what cool sea life you might see.

WHERE TO SNORKEL

The snorkeling at Andrea 2 is quite shallow, which makes it easy to get up close and personal with all those beautiful fish!

Snorkel to to the left close to the shore and then make a circle and snorkel to the right side of the shore.

Both sides of the beach offer plenty of opportunities to snorkel with quite a variety of different fish.

Final Thoughts

With over 60+ dive sites in Bonaire, trying to figure out where to snorkel can be overwhelming.

Andrea 2 is a solid choice that is easy to access and offers quite a variety of fish to see in nice shallow waters. Other top neighboring snorkel spots near Kralendijk are Bari Reef and Klein Bonaire.

Happy snorkeling!
