Klein Bonaire Water Taxi: Caribe vs Epic

by | Last updated Feb 3, 2024 | Bonaire

A visit to Klein Bonaire is one of my top things to do in Bonaire! If you love snorkeling, do not miss it! The island is about a 1/2 mile off the western coast of Bonaire and is part of the Bonaire National Park. The best way to get there is the Klein Bonaire Water Taxi. There are two great water taxi companies: Caribe Watersport and Epic Tours. I have created a quick comparison chart to help you decide between the two.

Klein Bonaire boasts one of the best beaches in Bonaire … No Name Beach. Think super white sand (which can get hot without shoes!) and turquoise clear waters.

There are no facilities, restrooms, or beach attendants, so you have to bring your own chairs, towels, coolers, etc.

The real reason you go to Klein Bonaire is for the beautiful snorkeling!

There are 2 ways to get to Klein Bonaire.

One is booking a highly-rated Klein Bonaire Snorkeling Tour.

The second option is to take a water taxi.

You have two water taxi options: Caribe Watersport and Epic Tours. Both companies are highly-rated.

We used Caribe Watersport when they were operating from Eden Beach Resort. The pier on Eden Beach is in disrepair currently, so right now Caribe is transporting tourists from Karel’s Beach only.

We had a great experience. The staff was very friendly.

If you love snorkeling, make sure to take advantage of the water taxi’s free drop-off drift snorkel. They only offer it on certain days and times. See the comparison chart below for more details.

Final Thoughts

Do not miss a trip to Bonaire. As you can see from the comparison chart above, both Caribe Watersport and Epic Tours are fairly comparable. The main difference is Epic Tours offers the free drift snorkel daily and has two departure points. Both are great options though with many happy customers.
