Klein Bonaire Water Taxi: Caribe vs. Epic Comparison

by | Last updated Jul 25, 2025 | Bonaire

During our trip to Bonaire, my husband and I took the water taxi over to Klein Bonaire, one of our favorite 14 snorkeling spots on the island! If you’re planning to visit, there are two main water taxi companies to choose from: Caribe Watersport and Epic Tours.

We looked into both before booking and ended up trying one ourselves. Based on our research and experience, I put together this quick side-by-side comparison to help you decide which one might be the best fit for your adventure.

Water Taxi Overview

No Name Beach on Klein Bonaire

No Name Beach on Klein Bonaire

Klein Bonaire is home to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, No Name Beach. Picture soft, white sand (the sand gets really hot, so bring water shoes!) and crystal-clear turquoise water that looks straight out of a postcard.

Just a heads-up: there are no facilities, restrooms, or beach staff, so you’ll need to bring everything with you … towels, chairs, snacks, coolers, the works.

But really, the main reason to visit Klein Bonaire isn’t just for the beach.

It’s the amazing snorkeling that makes this spot exceptional!

There are actually two main ways to get to Klein Bonaire:

   #1- Snorkeling Tour

The highly-rated Seacow snorkeling tour includes transportation and often extras like drinks or snacks. Great if you want someone to help point out marine life and take care of the logistics.

→   #2- Water Taxi

This is the option we chose. It’s quick, affordable, and gives you the flexibility to explore on your own.

There are two water taxi companies that make the trip to Klein Bonaire:

If you landed on this post, you’re probably trying to decide between the two.

Both are well reviewed and offer similar experiences, but there are a few key differences, which are noted below in the comparison chart.

We went with Caribe Watersport when they were still operating out of Eden Beach Resort. That pier is currently out of service, so for now, Caribe is running trips from Karel’s Beach Bar instead.

Our experience was great. The staff was very friendly, and everything ran smoothly.

If you’re into snorkeling, try to take advantage of the free drift snorkel drop-off offered by the water taxis.

Final Thoughts

If you’re heading to Bonaire, a trip to Klein Bonaire should definitely be on your list.

As you can see from the comparison chart above, Caribe Watersport and Epic Tours are pretty similar in what they offer. The biggest difference is that Epic Tours runs the free drift snorkel daily and has two departure points, which gives you a bit more flexibility.

Plus, with Epic Tours, you have the option to add on beach chairs and lunch if you’re planning to make a full day of it at No Name Beach, which is a nice touch.

That said, both companies are great options with lots of happy customers. You really can’t go wrong with either one.
